GANDHI IN LOINCLOTH.
LONDON, November 6,
Their Majesties entertained 400 guests at Buckingham Palace, including Gandhi, who wore a loin cloth and a shawl, and other delegates to the India Round Table Conference.
Their Majesties shook hands with their guests at the head of the great crimson-carpeted staircase, and later moved to the flower-decked State rooms, conversing with the guests. They chatted for several minutes with Gandhi.
