Y.A. LEAGUE.

OPPORTUNITY FOR BOYS TO TOUR

AUSTRALIA

A party of 30 New Zealand schoolboys is being organised to make a trip to Australia during the forthcoming schools' Christmas vacation. The sponsor of the movement is the Young Australia League. This organisation has already conducted tours in which over 12,000 Australian boys have participated, and in recent years groups of New Zealand boys have accompanied the Christmas ventures.

The purpose of the undertaking is to give the lads an opportunity of learning by actually seeing places of interest, and during the six weeks' tour they will visit the States of New South Wales, Tasmania and Victoria. The special attraction in Sydney will, of course, be the Sydney Harbour Bridge, particularly as it has been arranged for the constructing engineer of the bridge, Dr. J. J, C. Bradfield, to personally escort the boys and point out features of' interest. Trips to the Blue Mountains, historical sites, industries, etc., will be carried out in all States, and excursions to the scenic spots in Tasmania should prove most attractive.

Boys between the ages of 11 and 17 are eligible, and ,tlie total cost of the tour is £39 15/. This amount covers first'-Class boat fares from Auckland to Sydney and return, and also first-class fares from Sydney to Hobart, all train fares and first-class , v boat fare from Devonport to Melbourne, meals and accommodation, meals while travelling, laundry, sight-seeing, admission to theatres and all other incidental charges.

The bona fides of the Young Australia League are unquestioned, as boys who have travelled on recent tours are named in the prospectus which has been issued. These boys can be referred to for information.

Parents desirous of seeking further knowledge about the tour may communicate with the Young Australia League, 355, George Street, Sydney, Australia.
