Mrs. J. E. Galbraitli, Mrs. A. Goodwin, and her small daughter left Dunedin on Tuesday for Auckland, where they will <3petid a few weeks.
Essie Jennings, wife of the well-known comedian Jim Gerald, has left the stage and gone into business in Melbourne as a costumiere, Alice Wyatt, a cousin of Carrie Moore;, is her partner.
Miss Jocelyn Mays, daughter of Mrs. Mays, of Henderson, Auckland, who was for several years a student at the Elam School of Art, leaving there in 1928 to pursue her studies in London, has heeu successful in obtaining the arts diploma at the Slade School, Loudon.
Miss H. A. Ivitto has left Wellington for Auckland for her marriage. Before leaving she was the guest of honour at several parties, and was presented with a silver tea service from the staff of the Treasury Department, where she worked for a number of years.
Miss Margaret Seelye will leave for England early in December in order to study at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London, states the Dunedin "Star." She will be joined in Auckland by Miss Joyce Hould, another Dunedin girl, who also intends to further her studies in dramatic art in London.
