THE SECOND DAY.

PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW. The spring meeting of the Whangarei Racing Club will be concluded to-morrow, and, though the fields are not particularly large, there should be another good day'e racing. In the Kauri Handicap, Great Emblem, who is top weight, did not impress yesterday. Lapstreet, however, showed a lot of speed, and should be suited by the shorter distance. Hoihoma was not started yesterday, but, if saddled up to-morrow, should go well. A pair who may appeal are LAPSTREET, HOIHOMA. Ten are carded for the Titoki Handicap. Full Measure led for the greater portion of the distance in the Hikurangi Handicap, seven furlongs, yesterday-, only to be beaten by Holly Holm. The latter is also engaged, and should again be troublesome. Good Idea was second in the Kensington Handicap, six furlongs, and was staying on well at the end. Catch , em and Golden Sceptre may be the best of the others. Most money may go on HOLLY HOLM,

FULL MEASURE, GOOD IDEA. On the first day's running, Neil and Arclieen are sure to again command eupport in the Park Hurdles. Cat-i-mes followed them home. Frothblower is a new- , comer who won on the flat yesterday, and he has yet to prove himself over hurdles. The favourite division may be NEIL, ARCHEEN. The Park Handicap is the chief event of the day. Sir Mond ran well for over a mile yesterday, while Vandyke was just beaten in the sprint. Volimond won the Cup with a brilliant finishing effort, and will again be hard to beat. Karangapai was successful in the sprint.. and can go a good mile. White Wings should bo considerably improved by her race yesterday, in which she was finishing on. Grand Tea looks the best of the others. Those that may be- in favour are VOLIMOND, KARANGAPAI, WHITE WINGS. The large majority of those engaged in the President's Handicap have been accepted for in previous events, but if they go to the post the best supported may be VANDYKE, TRADESMAN, WHITE WINGS. Frothblower won well yesterday, and he will have friends if started in the Kamo Handicap in preference to the hurdles. Bronze Tray ran third in the Cup yesterday, and should be hard to beat if reserved for this race. Alloy, Automne, and Hoihoma look the best of the others. Most

money may go on BRONZE TRAY. FROTHBLOWER, AUTOMNE. Wild Country, Whakapara, and Brazanna, who are at the head of the Mareden Handicap, all raced well yesterday, and they will probably be supported in the following order:— WHAKAPARA. WILD COUNTRY, BRAZANNA. In the Farewell Handicap those that may have most friends are SIR MOND, GAY COCKADE. KING WILLONYX. The acceptances are:— KAURI HANDICAP of SOsove. Five furlongs.
