British Troops Sent to Keep
Order.
MANY ARRESTS EFFECTED.
CALCUTTA, November 4,
Owing to the grave communal situation at Kashmir British troops are being sent into the State, consequent on the inability of the Kashmiri troops to cope with' the increasing trouble.
The police made 2000 arrests in two days. Trade between British India and Kashmir is at a standstill.

The Prime Minister, Mr. Mac Donald, who owing to other occupations during recent weeks had been unable to devote himself to the India Round Table Conference, has made himself conversant with its outstanding issues, in interviews with Lord Sankey, Sir Samuel Hoare, the Aga Khan and Sir Tej Sapru. Yesterday morning his callers included Gandhi and Pundit Malaviya. /
