THE COMING ELECTION.
As a business man and one who lias noted the absolute failure of the present economy schemes advocated and forced upon the public by the late Government, I trust that before the public vote at the coming elections they will think the matter out and not 'be led by rash promises from irrational members. The Reform Government under the leadership of Mr. Coates were absolute failures and spend- : thrifts. They were turned out at the last elections by the people. The Liberal Government under the leadership of Mr. Forbes is responsible indirectly for the present drift. How in the world can a combination of tlia two make any difference? The people require fresh blood, and this should be every person's motto at the coming elections. New blood in 1 the form of an Independent, or strike out the lot to give an indication that the present method of legislation is an absolute failure. Business men must realise now, after having received a thorough thrashing, that to take away the spending power from the ones who spend will gradually eliminate them altogether and also realise the impossibility of improvement if the foundation of prosperity is taken away. SANITY.
