FREEZING WORKERS.
NEW AWARD SOUGHT,
PARTIES TOLD TO CONFER,
MANY POINTS IN DISPUTE,

A further conference between the parties, to dispose of as many of the claims as possible, was suggested in the Arbitration Court this morning by Mr. Justice Frazer, when an application for a new Dominion award was made by the New Zealand Freezing Workers' Union and the companies throughout New Zealand.
His Honor called attention of the parties to the large number of matters in dispute. "In view of the present situation," he said, "it is hopeless for the Court to attempt a complete overhaul of euch a long and intricate, award. It is difficult to believe that in an award which has been running as long a's this one there can be so many anomalies. His Honor suggested that parties should again confer, and dispose of as many of the disputed points as possible. The Court then adjourned till the afternoon to allow the parties to arrange a conference. I ' ■
