'. 'I|f RESIDENTIAL AREA.
DECISION' AT ONE TREE HILL.
i -It i had my way I would prevent the .erecting of any factory in a resi- * dential area," said tie Mayor, Mr. . • Goldstine, at meeting of the One Tree " Hill Borongi Council last night. I con- > sider it the duty of any local body.,to give effect to the principles of town planning, otherwise the whole purpose 01 such planning eimply goes by the board, r Further, it will bo my endeavour to prevent the granting of. permits in areas loned specially for residence. It is unfair to ratepayers in the first instance, and in the second it will force those who wish to set up factories to. take land • set aside for the purpose." < The Mayor's statement was made after two deputations had been heard by the council with reference to the ) proposal to establish a bacon factory in Dunkerron Avenue, off Market Road.
