SUNSHINE ASSOCIATION.

The anniversary of tlie death of Mrs. N. Ferner, founder of the Community Sunshine Association, was observed yesterday at a gathering of 60 members of the ladies' auxiliary at Sunshine House, Nelson Street. Mr. John Court president of the association, presided. Mrs. H,rnest Davis and Sir Frederick Lang paid tributes to Mrs. Ferner's work in providing schools, clubs and playgrounds for the children of Auckland. , ~ Mr. G. Cruickshank explained the objects of the Ferner Memorial Endowment Fund, which is being raised as a permanent fund for tlie benefit of the association. The eum of £60 was collected during the afternoon, and several promises for substantial amounts were made.
