LEAGUE FOOTBALL.
MOTION OF CONDOLENCE.
At the meeting of the management com-' mittee of the Auckland Rugby League last evening the chairman, Mr. George Rhodes and Mr. J. W. Probert, made feeling reference to the death of the New>ton player. Sam Harris, who collapsed and died on the field during play on Saturday. A' resolution of sympathy with the relatives of the player and with 'the Ne»r - ton Club was passed, members standing in silence for a minute. , A good deal of (business following the end of the season was dealt with and an application for the use in the New Year of Carlaw Park for the Post and Telegraph picnic, was granted.
