FALSE PRETENCES.
ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN £225. PAYMENT FOR A MOTOR CAR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, Tuesday. In the Supreme Courts to-day, Owen Marvell was found guilty on a charge of attempting to obtain £225 by fraud from the Hertford Insurance Company by falsely representing he had paid foOO for a motor car, 'for which he had actually paid £175. ■ Sentence was deferred.
