MUNICIPAL OFFICERS.
The Municipal Officers' Social Club held their final dance for the year in the concert chamber of the Town Hall last evening when a very enjoyable time was spent by many couples. Excellent jazz music was provided for dancing and oldtime dance tunes also attracted many. On the stage, where the musicians were seated, were huge clumps of bamboo and other foliage and forming a fragrant floral row along the front were pots of mauve flowers. Hanging baskets of fern were suspended from the ceiling, and clumps of greenery were also placed in the entrance. During the evening violin solos were given by Mr. N. Walker, and Mrs. M. Monaghan sang a number of songs. Among those present were: Miss Alice Basten, who wore a frock of black floral georgette; Miss Basten, frock of black velvet; Mrs. C. Rogers, champagne lace and chiffon; Mrs. T. Bender, sedge green satin frock; Mrs, D. T. Jack, nut brown lace; Mrs. J. H. Ansell, frock of citron shaded chenille with black and gold embossed coatee; Mrs. F. Gwillam, ciel blue satin; Mrs. Day, palest green georgette; Mrs. Asliby, pastel blue georgette; Mrs. W. Palmer, frock of blue taffeta; Mrs. E. Scholes, black taffeta and lace; Mrs. N. Dimery, black and floral taffeta; Mrs. Fulton, Naples blue satin; Mrs. W. K. Tugby, lemon georgette; Mrs. Innes, palest green satin;. Mrs. W. Reid, pastel blue satin; Mrs. T. Monaghan, black satin with ivory relief; Mrs. Hamilton, orange crepe fleuri; Mrs. E. M. Harwood, primrose grosgrin; Mre. F. Law, palest .green moire taffeta; Miss S. Stacpoole, amethyst mauve 'taffeta; Miss B. O'Reilly, lemon and floral tulle and chiffon; Miss G. Atherton, leaf green satin; Miss Cooper-Smith, pale pink frilled frock; Miss C. Logue,' palest pink georgette; Miss Sinclair, flesh pink organdie with floral design; Miss Hancox, Naples blue georgette; Miss M. Jack, pink chiffon; Miss L. Sinclair, royal blue georgette; Miss •S. Florenz, palest pink fische net; Miss Z. Fletcher, gold chiffon; Miss Skeats, black lace, frock; Miss E. Collins, deep cream taffeta; Miss C. Logue, palest pink chiffon; Miss Morrow, black georgette frock; Miss Percy, corncoloured taffeta; Miss I. Kit chin, leaf green georgette.
