A letter from Miss Jean M. Wood", secretary of the Birkdale Women's Institute, informed the Birkenhead Borough Council last evening that Mrs. Chetwynd and Mrs. Reich had been appointed to represent that body on the parks committee. Members of the council welcomed the co-operation of the ladies, and forecasted considerable aesthetic progress in the district as the outcome of the innovation.
