TRACK GALLOPS.
THIS MORNING'S WORK.
LLANORE SPRINTS FAST,
The weather was fine and the going good for training at Ellerslie this morning. No. 2 grass track was open for fast work, but there was not a great deal doing, most of the horses with engagements at Whangarei being given light tasks. Wild Country and Taneriri were companions over half, a mile, which they covered in 535. Both these horses are in good order for their. Whangarei engagements. ' Autahi was timed to run the last half-mile of his work in 525, Royal Gallant covering a furlong less in 38 4-ss. Tatyoon and Moonfleet, who are both doing well, got to the end of five furlongs in l.c 2-5. The former carried a fair weight and went well. Te Money was given an easy six furlongs, which she covered in 1.24 1-5. Over a similar distance Pal was timed to run 1.21 1-5, doing it comfortably. Whirlalong had a shade the better of United at the end of half a mile in 51s. United could have done better. The Valkyrian—Galli Curci filly covered a similar distance in 52 2-ss. Marchette got to the end of six furlongs in 1.21 1-5. Click Clack was given useful work, running her last three furlongs in 435. Protomint and Transaction trotted round to the three-furlong post and ran home in 39 l-ss. Protomint did his work in good style and looks much improved. After Breakfast. Llaiiore sprinted three furlongs > in 37 3-ss, and finished up her task impressively. Catoma worked over a round on the tan, running the last six furlongs in 1.26. Tarporley worked on-the' same track, but was not after time. Tetraxchate ran the last half-mile of his work on the tan in 52 2-ss, but was showing distinct signs of soreness afterwards. He will not fulfil his Whangarei engagements and is to be given a spell. ■ Other horses to work were Gold Money, Brampton, Patutahi, Ruling King, Cat-i----mes, Sir Archie, Waraloon, Lady Court, Kawainga, Light Step and Cynthia N. The two-year-olds Chaasong and Morehu were sprinted a couple of furlongs separately, • the former shaping nicely, considering it was her first fast , work. .The Jumpers. Ruffles (W. Rennie), St. Clements (Olive) and Dominican (Craddock) gave a good display while jumping four hurdles. Ruffles fenced fast and cleanly, while Dominican gave easily his best display to date.
TAKANINI TRIAIiS.
GANPAT SPRINTS WELL,
The inside grass track was open at Takanini this morning for fast work and the going was good. Refresher (Stewart) worked over a round, running his last half-mile in 56 2-ss. Bugle Call (Griee) was sent five furlongs, covering the last half-mile in 555. Holly Lu (H. Gilmer) was a head in front of Gay. Marigold (Inglis) and Greek Gold (Taylor), who finished together, at the end of three furlongs in 375. Ganpat (Stewart) went pleasingly over half a mile, which he accomplished in 50 l-ss. Eaglet (Inglis) worked strongly over seven furlongs on the plough, running the last six furlongs in 1.20. Principal (P. McIlroy) gave a satisfactory display over four hurdles, afterwards running the last four of five furlongs in 565. Change (Moore) and Letitia (Bagby) were together at the end of three furlongs, in 37 4-ss. Chief Jewel (Moore) and Vali (Inglis) were together throughout six furlongs, traversed in 1.18 2-5. the first two furlongs taking 265.

The following horses left for Whangarei by special train this morning:—Full Measure, Karangapai, Stimulant, Good Idea, Brampton, Neil, Bonny Mumble, Good Boy, Escalus, Vandyke, Great Emblem, Taneriri, Wild Country,. Cata-i----mes. Sir Mond. Gay Cockadc, Grand Tea, Owairaka, Whakapara, King Willonyx, Brazanna, Catch'em, Tux Mint, Trustee, White Wings, Protomint, Transaction, Holly Holni and Tradesman.
Volimond, Lapstreet and Lucky Alice were to be sent from Te Aroha.
