MAIRANGI BAY.

BEAUTIFYING • SOCIETY

A meeting of ratepayers of Mairangi Bay (until recently Little Murray s Bay) on Saturday evening unanimously decided to form a progressive and beautifying society, to be called the Mairangi Bay Progressive Association. There were about 40 ratepayers present, and the meeting was an enthusiastic one. An illustrated lecture, was given by Mr. Davis, chairman of the Bayswater Beautifying Society. The elides contained illustrations of beautifying work carried out in Wanganui and at Bayswater, and the lecturer also showed the possibilities which lay ahead of the local association. Mairangi Bay lends itself naturally to beautification, and it is intended that certain work to be completed under scheme 5 by the Waitemata County Council shall not be wasted.
