ENGLISH PURCHASES ADVISED,

WELLINGTON; Saturday.

The Newspaper Proprietors' Association decided at its conference in Wellington to recommend newspapers to place the majority of their orders for newsprint, for 1932 with English manufacturers. .

A resolution was carried that in view of the fact that the Dominion's prosperity depended on the industrial prosperity of Great Britain, and also in view of Britain's generosity in suspending payments on the funded war debt "to the amount of £870,000, proprietors should be recommended to place at least twothirds of their orders for newsprint for 1932 with English manufacturers.
