Senator Borah Urges War Debt
Cancellation.
WIPE OUT REPARATIONS.

WASHINGTON, October 23,
Senator W. E. Borah, chairman of the Committee of Foreign Relations, told French newspaper correspondents on Friday that a revision of the Versailles Treaty was imperative. "It is becoming perfectly clear that the t r patv will be revised either by peace or by force," stated Mr, Borah. He" said that if the Allies should cancel their war reparations from Geimany he would favour the cancellation by the United States of the war debts owed by the Allies, As for disarmament, he expected France to determine for herself how far she could disarm, but he saw no prospect for a reduction in Ewope so long £ eertain conditions, arising out of the Versailles Treaty should continue. _ M Laval) Premier -of France, who is at present - went "to Islington and uirtiT- w"hat< he considered to be ine paramount problems' before France and the United States.
