Gustav' Edward Ambrose, who had been employed as nightwatchman by local businessmen for a number of years, was alleged to have been caught by the police coming out of a draper s shop £arly this morning .with a parcel of clothing under his arm. He: was charged with theft before justices and remanded on bail till Tuesday.
