STOLEN SAFE FOUND.
HIDDEN" AT WAITAKERE,
'■ Detectives Packman and Hayes yesterday recovered the safe which was stolen from ' the Kumeu Post \ Office several weeks ago. The discovery was. made in the thick bush'of the Waitakerer- ranges.- - '.'• -■"' The detectives journeyed deep into the bush ,and-found'the safe at a spot described hy a man,who was arrested early on Saturday morning. The'safe had been taken there by motor, car and bad been blown ' open.' About £23 in cash and a number of postal notes and. documents were stolen. .
