NEW BRITISH, BILL. LONDON, October 2. The text of the -Anti-Profiteering Bill provides that if a shortage of food appears likely, or any unreasonable increase in the price of any article of food or drink for general consumption, the Board of Trade may regulate and deal with it. Also the bill provides for the summary trial of offenders with a penalty of £100 or three months' imprisonment and forfeiture of profits. The bill is to remain in force for six months.
