HOW HOLLYWOOD SELLS PICTURES.

To advertise its motion pictures for 1931-32 release Eadio Pictures will spend hundreds of thousands of dollars exclusively • in newspapers, Jack A. Pegler, representative of a large national advertising agency, declared before the Radio Pictures Company sales convention. • Single and double-page newspaper advertisements will precede release of all major motion pictures, Mr. Pegler said. Approximately £20,000 will be spent on newspaper advertising for each' of the principal shows on Radio Pictures' schedule, he declared. j Mr. Pegler's announcement was greeted by cheers from 150 sales executives in Hollywood from England, Canada, Australia and the United States.
