FLUCTUATIONS IN SHARES.
BUSINESS ACTIVE.
Business on the local Stock Exchange jontinues fairly active, with principal attention still centred in Government Stocks, and there were fresh sales of these ;ecorded at this morning's call. Bank shares again met a good demand, and Nationals of New Zealand improved with a sale at £3 12/6, after which sellers dropped out, leaving a buyer in at £3 10/. Kcw Zealands, too, were firmly held, with lowest seller at £2 4/6. In Government stocks 5Wb were steady at about £95, but tax frees seemed easier, the best offer being £92 10/. Waihis were in keen request, and a buyer went to 16/3 to secure a parcel, after which holders raised their reserves to 16/6.
