APPOINTMENT OF A SISTER.

DARGAYILLE, thia day.
At the meeting of the Kaipara Hospital Board on Saturday out of 14 applicants Miss M. Hughes, of Palmerston North, was appointed sister-,in-charge of the maternity annexe, vice Sister A. J. Johnston, who has been promoted to the position of matron of the main institution. Sister Hughes, who is fully qualified, served for nine years with the Cook Hospital Board in the Gisborne Hospital and also the Tologa Bay Hospital. <
