A RACE DIVIDED.
THE MAIDEN" PLATE,
Owing to the number of acceptors in the Maiden Race, to be decided at Avoudale next Saturday, exceeding the safety number, , the club has had to divide the event, but it should be noted that. if horses are bracketed and start in separate,- divisions and either one wins a division and the other is unplaced, the dividend will be paid on both of them, just the same as is done in the case of horses bracketed and starting in the same race where one of them wins. The divisions are as follow:
