LAWN TENNIS.
ST. HELIER'S CLUB'S OFFICERS. Following were tlie officers elected at tlie annual meeting of the St. Helier's Lawn Tennis Club: —President, Mr. A. O. Horspool; vice-presidents,' Messrs. H. J. Cooper; Hintz, Mabbett and J. Diamond; lion, secretary, Mr. A. V. McUinley: lion, treasurer, Mr. H. E. Kretschmar; lion, auditor, Mr. Carr; delegate to Auckland Lawn Tennis Association. Mr. H. V. McGinley; general committee, Mesdames Mabbett, Butler, Misses Bradshaw, Inglis and Hayes, Messrs. Mabbett, Phillip, J. Uiamond, Bradley and Cooper,; match committee, Misses Bradshaw and Russell, Messrs. J. Diamond, Phillip and Mabbett. It was decided to enter a team .in the C grade competition and two teams in the D grade competition. Opening day was fixed for October 24.
ST. JAMES' CLUB'S OFFICERS.
A successful past season was recorded in the report presented at the annual meeting of St. James' Lawn Tennis Club, Pukekolie. There was a good attendance of members. The balance-sheet showed an improvement of £20 in the financial position during the year. * Officers were elected as follow : —Patron. Rev. J. Pattison ; president, Mr. A. Sclilaepfer; vice-presidents, Messrs. K. Schlaepfer, C K. Lawrie, G. R. Wright, J. Roulston, sen., and L. G. Sharp; secretary, Mr. A. Fausett; committee, Mrs. 1< itne_ss, Misses A Scott. N. Perkins and J. McKinney and Messrs. G. Wright, J. Adams and It. Perkins ;* captain, Mr. Fausett; vice-captain, Mr. A. Gill. jun.; delegates to Eranklin Tennis Association, Messrs. A. ochldepter and Fausett. ~ . , It was decided to hold the opening of the season on October 10.
