CRICKET.
NEW CLUB AT HIKUTAIA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Thursday. Mr. E. Turner presided over a well attended meeting called at Hikutaia to consider the possibility of forming a cricket team. It was agreed to form a club called the Hikutaia Cricket Club. The annual subscription was fixed at 5/ per member. The following . officers were elected:— Patron, Mrs. Julia Corbett; president, Mr. W. T. Wyatt; vicc-presidants, Messrs. E. Turner, P. Corbfitt, .T. Robinson, W. Royal, A. Robinson, C. W. Watts, Homer, J. Powell and H. McGarvey; secretary and treasurer. Mr. .W. ;. Vcddav ; . .selectors, Messrs. W. Veddar, W. Wyatt and L. Meßae. ' -. .-. The secretary and treasurer were appointed to approach Mr. P. Corbett with a view to securing a suitable playing area.
