WANGANUI HORSES.

SOME RECENT ARRIVALS.

MR. W, R. KEMBALL'S TEAM

RULAXUT IS PLEASING,

(Special to " Star.")

WANGANUL Thursday,

Geo. Jones arrived at Wanganui on Wednesday with a team of eight of Mr. W. R. Kemball's horses, comprising Lady Pam, Spear Lad, Actaeon, Cape Gold, Movietone, Hymgreat, Posy and Rulanut. Lady Pam looks in good order, a little on the big side perhaps, but healthy and ■well. She "went a round with Spear Lad, the pair sprinting down the straight. Both hit out well, Lady Pam especially pleasing. The two youngsters, Posy and_ Rulanut, •were companions in a good "working gallop over three furlongs. Eulanut is a particularly nice-looking, well-grown youngster, and he was putting plenty of dash into his work. He looks likely to play a prominent part in the Debutante Stakes. Auctioneer has been more or less sore for some time past, but Mr. B. T. Bennett had hopes of getting him right for the hurdles here. However, the trouble is now thought to bs rheumatism and the gelding has been eased up. Kowhatu put in* a couple of rounds at a solid pace this morning. He is to be given a run over the hurdles on Saturday. Moerangi, with G. Feilding in the saddle. went a round over the hurdles, jumping •well. The brother to Omeo is very fit. Pomp and Impetuous were not extended to run half a mile in 525, in which the former showed to advant<^ie. Fred Davis is due to arrive here tomorrow with Lucky Moment and Esteem. Knollmere went very freely in •covering fixe furlongs, though he was not asked ta< make time. - The Grandcourt gelding is nearly at his best again.
