DEATH OF MOTOR CYCLIST,
NEGLIGENCE NOT PROVED.
(By Telegrrph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday.. The hearing of the caee in which Frank Hill Wheelhouse Simpson is charged with, negligently driving a motor car at Lower Hutt, thereby causing the death of Norman Kjar, a motor cyclist, was. commenced in the Police Court to«aJ. The accident occurred on August Evidence was given that-the motor «ar driven by Simpson had passed other cars and then the motor cyclist appeared ?a the left eide of the car and crashed mto a brick wall. Witnesses for defendant said the speed not excessive and the car was under control. The brakes were in good order. _ A garage proprietor said Kjar was nding an old borrowed motor cycle, wnch -was difficult to control. The magistrate held that negligence was not proved and the charge was dismissed.
