AUCKLAND V. CANTERBURY. i" TROUBLE OVER THE DATES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.}' CHSISTCHUECH, this day. Difficulty has arisen regarding an acceptable date for fife New Zealand Hockey Association's Challenge Shield match between• Auckland (challengers) and Canterbury, (holders). September 12 was the date agreed upon by Canterbury, but last week Auckland telegraphed the New Zealand Association, asking for a postponement until September 19, owing to its inability to secure the best team. The Canterbury Association will not agree to the postponement, and there seems ! to be little chance of the match this I sason.
