WELLINGTON, this day.

The president of the Xew Zealand Wol Brokers, Mr. Mr. Mabin, points out that the Government Statistician's recent returns of wool held include holdings by woollen mills, freezing works, scourers, shipping stores and harbour and railway eheds, amounting to 82,319 bales. The quantity held by farmers and brokers is 181,803 bales. This, says Mr. Mat>m, Is all tiat matters in considering the carry-over of wool in the Dominion. During July and August 33,684 bales had been shipped, thus reducing the wool i nthe shipping, harbour board and railway stores. When all was sumed up the matter that signified was that 181,503 bales of growers' greasy wool was Held for better prices.
