Sir Leonard .Hill, of the ■ National Institute of Medical Research,- speaking *at a sanitary; inspectors 1 conference, said the population of- .the world was increasing by 12,000,000 a year. This, v he:6aid,. could not continue. A far less cruel world could be brought about by a rational limitation of the birth rate.
