JUNIOR GROUP.
CHAMBER OP COMMERCE PI/AN
PROPOSAL BEING REVIEWED.
The proposal to form a junior Chamber of Commerce in Auckland, which is being considered by the council of the Auckland Chamber, was discussed at to-day's meeting, and referred to the executive for consideration and recommendation. Mr. L. A. Eady, who, with the secretary, Dr. E. P. Neale, prepared a report on the activities of junior chambers overseas, pointed out the enthusiasm with which the idea had met in England, Canada, and the United States. There were 24 junior chambers in England with a considerable membership, and the figures were even greater in the United States. The secretary said that he had a list of 30 names of young Auckland men who would be willing to join if a junior chamber were formed.
