FRIENDLY SOCIETIES' FOURS.

Members are reminded that entries for the fours tourney for the Little Green Cup may be received now until Saturday, September 19. All members of each team must be financial members of one lodge. All who have won an Auckland Friendly Societies' tourney are debarred, but runners-up are not.

HELENSVILLE VISIT.

The Auckland Friendly Societies' Indoor Bowling Association pays its annual visit to Helensville on Saturday, September 26. Members desirous of making the trip should send- their names in. to Bro. F. Harris, 9, Albany Road, or to Bro. A. Jenkin, King Street, Arch Hill, before Saturday, September 19, so that accommodation can be booked, and the necessary arrangements made re transport. As the party is limited to 50, early application is necessary.

CHALLENGE MATCH.

The much anticipated match, Little Green v. City Friendly Societies, was played at the Little Green, and resulted in the challengers representing the Little Green gaining a most decisive victory .by ■•311 points (28J games) to ITS points (10J games). A fine sporting spirit was shown by the spectators present, who, when they realised the Friendly Societies were 23 players short, volunteered to take their places bo that the games should not be held up.
