PAEROA BEATS THAMES. PAEROA. Wednesday. The Paeroa Badminton Club met the representatives from the Thames Club In the Soldiers' Clubrooms, Paeroa, and were successful in defeating the visitors. Results are as follow, Paeroa players first: — Singles.—Miss V. Shand lost to Miss Carson, 7 —11; Miss Bellamy beat MisS'Fookes, 11 —-8 ;'.'Mrs. Masters lost to Miss -Hool, 0—11; Mrs. Handley beat Miss Whelan, 11 —2; Miss : Gamble beat Miss -Lyes, 13 —io; Miss Dunlop beat Miss Donaldson, 11 —6. Total: Paeroa 53, Thames 48. Doubles. —blisses Shand and Bellamy lost to Misses Carson and Flookes, B—ls,8 —15, 15—13, 9 —15; Mrs. Masters and Handley beat Misses Whelan and Hool, 15 —8, 15—3; Misses Gamble and Dunlop beat Misses Donaldson and Lyes, 17—15, 5—15, 15 Totals: Paeroa 99, Thanies 00.
