SHOWS HELD AT NEW LYNN",
• The report presented at. the annual meeting of the New Lynri Horticultural Society showed a very successful year, there being a credit balance of "£3 10/2. The four shows held during the year were well contested, and the, exhibits were of a high standard. The society proposes to hold a points competition every third Wednesday for members within a radius which Tii GS Chevalier, Avondale, Mount Albert, New Lynn, Glen Eclen, Titirangi, and Henderson. A feature of the competition will be talks by experts, and discussions on subjects of interest to amateur members.- , ■ Office-bearers■ were elected as follows: — Messrs G. Lawson, F. Brookelaylor, M. Laing, G. Severne, E. Ednev, and Carr Rollett; president, Mr. R. Wright; secretary, Mr. R. A. Jeffrey; committee,. Messrs. E. S. Riggall, C.-Find-lay son, A. Whittreal, H. J. Cutler H. L. Sadgrove, R. E. Holbrook, J. K. Gilliam, 0. L. Sadgrove, and W. Keir.
