DOCKS FOR REPAIRS.

The A. and A. Line's chartered steamer City of Kimberley, which has been held up at Auckland since her arrival; from New York. on July 2, when she was towed into port with a broken tailshaft by the motor ship Opawa, is to go into dock at 4 p.m. to-day for repairs. A new tailshaft and a section of the crankshaft, which had to be replaced, arrived from London by the Port Gisborne, and were sent across to the dock. The stern-tube, through which the tailshaft runs, is aboard the Remiiera, due at Auckland from London on Sunday night. The work of installing the tailshaft and tube will be commenced as soon as the latter is available, and is expected to take 10 days.
