Waiomo Sulphide.—Monowai section: On the hangingwall leader west of No. 1 level 20£t has been driven, the width being -it Gin, on highly payable ore. A twenty-ton lot from this point is being sent to the null to ascertain whether the ore is amenable to gold amalgamation. Broken Hill: Sloping opera tioms are proceeding at Xo. 2 level on the hangingwall reef for a width of 4ft Gin. -jCliis ore is of good grade, and a trial lot will be sent to the mill immediately. This section is situated east of Zeehan and immediately northward of Monowai. Very little development lias taken place and northward the drive is in virgin country. Zoehan: SO tons of ere has been broken from the No. 3 level stopes south of the break to "prove its bulk value.
