TOO ROMANTIC.
LADY RADIO ANNOUNCERS
ROME, August 13.
Because three-fourths of their inward correspondence consists of passionate love-letters to women announcers, Italian broadcasting stations contemplate dispensing with these signorinas. There is a feminine announcer in Rome whose beautiful voice is renowned throughout Europe. London listeners who have no knowledge of Italian frequently tune-in for the sheer pleasure of hearing her. Whether she is in danger from the proposed ban has not been specifically stated.
