Public Notice is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of its powers under the Town Boards Act, 190S, the Rating Act, 1925, the Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926, the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and any Amendments thereof respectively, and of all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Henderson Town Board intends, on THURSDAY, the 3rd day of September, 1931, to make and levy, for the year commenced on the Ist day of April, 1931, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1932, the following rates, viz. :— 1. A General Rate of Threepence (3d) in the Pound (£1). 2. A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of Nine-sixteenths of a Penny (9-16 d) in the Pound (£1). 3. The Special Rates (recurrent), to provide interest and sinking funds on loans, remain as struck, but that only an amount sufficient .to meet requirements be collected, as follows :^- (a) Riding Loans. —A Rafe of Sevensixteenths of a penny (7-16 d) in ;: ; the-Pound-(-£1).•.:-..:•-■"■- : \ (b) Streets- improvement Loan. —A Rate of One Penny and Seveneighths of a Penny (lid) in the ; Pound (£1). Water Rates. —In respect of the Ordinary Supply, upon all.lands and buildings to which water is supplied (excepting supplies per meter) a Rate of Threepence (3d) in the Pound (£1) on the unimproved ratable value of al) such property, ivith a minimum charge of Ten Shillings (10/). Non-consumers. —Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be, but is not supplied, situate within One hundred yards from any • part of the waterworks, a Rate of One Penny (ldj in the Pound (£1) on the Unimproved ratable value of all such property, with a minimum charge of Five Shillings (5/). Such water rates to be levied upon all ratable property as appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Henderson Town District. ■ Water supplies per meter within the Henderson Town District, at the rate of 1/9 per 1000 gallons, with a minimum charge of £1 per annum, aud meter rental.7/6 per annum, 5. Sanitation Rate. —A uniform annual fee in respect of the removal and disposal, of nightsoil from closets, and privies and cleansing of pans, at the rate of Two.Pounds (£2) tor each pan in any such closets or privies, upon each and every property in the Henderson Town District having a building erected thereon, and where the area of land of such property does not exceed one half of an acre, and on all properties with buildings used as hotels or boardinghouses. The said rates and fees to be payable in each case in one sum on the 10th day of September, 1931, at the Henderson Town Board Office, Thomas Street, Henderson, to Ernest Greenslade, the Board's Collector, oi to such other person as may be appo'inteO from time to time to collect and receive the same. A Rebate of Five per centum will be allowed ou all general, hospital, *nd specia rates paid before the expiration of thirtj days after the due date thereof. A copy of .the Estimates of Receipts am Expenditure for the year ending March 31 1932, upon whiqh the above mentioned rate nre based, having been • approved bv th Board, are, together with the Valuatio Koll, open for inspection during office hour at the Board's Office, Henderson.
