DAMAGED STEAMER.

CONTRACT FOR REPAIRS LET,

The contract for carrying out repairs to.the steamer City of Kimbcrley was let to-day, the successful firm being the Victory Engineering Company. The price has not been disclosed.

The job consists of the fitting of a new stern tube, tailshaft and propeller, and effecting repairs to the rudder. The City of Kimbcrley, which lost her propeller in the Pacific some weeks ago, is at present berthed at the Shecrlegs wharf. The new parts are being brought from England by the Remuera and the Port Gisborne.
