HOUSE DAMAGED BY FIRE.

GREEN LANE OUTBREAK. Two rooms at the rear of a sixroomed house at 22, Marewa Road, Green Lane, owned and occupied by Mr. E. S. Hickey, were badly damaged by fire about four o'clock yesterday morning. The only occupants at the time were Mr. Hickey's son- and daughter, who were awakened by the crackling of the flames, and escaped through a window. The fire started in the kitchen, and spread to the dining room. The house was insured for £600 with the Insurance Office of Australia, and the contents for £150 with the Royal Insurance Co.
