FINED FOR THEFT.

TWO TAXI DRIVERS CHARGED. Two taxi drivers, William Stanley Amundsen, aged 31, and Arthur John Flynn, aged 31, who were arrested yesterday morning by Detective- Sergeant McHugh, appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court in the afternoon charged with the theft of 2/6 worth of tinned food from the motor ship Maui Pomare. Amundsen was fined £5, or 14 days, and Flynn was fined £2, or seven days. The men were allowed until the end of the week to find the money.
