EJECTED FROM SHELTER
MAN SENT TO PRISON.
ONE OF THE GRUMBLERS
"LIVING ON CHARITY."
"This man is living on charity, and is biting the hand that feeds him," said Sergeant Clark about Donald Mackenzie Cameron, a labourer (32), who was charged, at the Police Court to-day, with using obscene language. The sergeant said accused was one of three men at the City Mission shelter who had been creating a disturbance there on Saturday. He was cheeky, and had to be ejected. He used the bad language to witness in the street. Cameron was one of a number of men at the shelter who were given free meals and then complained about tlie food and the institution generally. Cameron was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
