CRASH INTO SHOP.
RUNAWAY CAR'S CAREER
Crashing through a shop wall at the corner of City lfoad and Symonds Street about 8 p.m. on Saturday, a runaway motor car threw a woman customer across the floor -of the shop, one of her ankles being slightly injured. Mr. R. D. Dempster, of Mount Eden, the driver of the car, had parked it on the opposite side of Symonds Street. It suddenly commenced to move backward, crossed the street and crashed into the front wall of the shop, which is occupied by Miss A. E. Jones. Miss Jones, who was serving a customer at the time, heard the ear coming, but had not time to run away before the vehicle crashed into the building.
