Mr. W. C. Hildebrandt, of Sydney, is at Hotel Cargen.

Mr. F. M. Prince and Mr. R. A. Marsh, of San FranciscOj are at the Grand Hotel.

The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral, will leave for Wellington this evening.

Mr. F. Picot and Mr. P. J. Nathan, of Wellington, are at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. C. M. Riehwhite left for Wellington last evening. He will return to Auckland on Wednesday.

Mr. W. J. Jordan, M.P., left by train this morning for Rotorua. He will proceed later to Wellington.

Mr. C. F. Eskell, New Zealand manager for Universal Films, Ltd., is at the Grand Hotel.

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Warnoek returned to Auckland to-day, after making the round trip to Fiji, Tonga and Samoa, in the Tofua.

Mr. W. Wallace, chairman of the Hospital Boards' Association, left for Wellington last evening in connection with association affairs. He will return to Auckland on Wednesday.

Captain V. G. Webb has been appointed superintendent at the head -office, London, of the Union Steamship Co., Ltd. He was formerly local marine superintendent at Wellington.

Pilot-Officer .D. W. Morrish, of the Royal Air Force, h|^i - esumed duty after recovering from nfjuries received when his aeroplane crashed in England in January. His relatives live at Whangarei.

Mr. H. H. Robinson returned to Wellington from England last week under appointment by the Standard Motor Co., of Coventry. He will establish headquarters later in Wellington.

Mr. H. Amos, president of the New Zealand Olympic and British Games Association, is making a tour of the Dominion in connection with the movement to establish a fund which will enable New Zealand to be adequately represented at the Olympic Games at Los Angeles next year, and at other important sports gatherings overseas.

Mr. C. L. Rigden, master on the staff of the Christchurch Boys' High School, who has been studying in France, has gained distinction in French language subjects at the University of Poietiers. He headed the list with four diplomas at the recent examinations.

Mr. J. Pascoe, president, and Mr. G. L. Cledding, member of the council of the New Zealand Bowling Association, left for the South, last evening. They will attend i. function to be given in their honour by the Otago Centre in Dunedin to-morrow evening, and will return to Christchurch to be present at the annual meeting of the council of the association on Thursday evening.
