PERSONAL.
The Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral, returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. R. G. Macmorran has been appointed chief Surveyor for the Auckland and North Auckland land districts. Squadron-Lcadcr A. Coningham, of the British Air Force, and formerly of Wellington, has been promoted Wing-Com-mander. Mr. W. G. Wohlmann, Commissioner of Police, has been elected a member of the Public Service Superannuation Board. The Hons. C. J. Carrihgton, W. Stewart, E. W. Alison and J. Trcvithick, M.L.C.'s, returned by the Limited this morning. Mr. C. J. Gray. has been appointed Christchurch manager of the Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society, Limited, in place of Mr. C. W. Tanner, who retires on July 31. Messrs. C. E. Macmillan and J. A. Young, M.P.'s,. were passengers to Franktou by the Limited this morning.. Mr. F. Langstone, M.P. for Waimarino, relumed to Ohakune by the Limited from Wellington this morning. Messrs. G. Finn and 0. Mcßrine, members of the Unemployment Board, were passengers from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Messrs. H. M. Rushworth, F. Lye, G. C. Munns, Clyde Carr, W. J. JoMan, W. W. Massey and W. E. Parry,. M.P.'s, arrived by the Limited this morning from Wellington. Mr. W. L. Clabburn, managing director of Marks and Saul wick (N.Z.), Ltd., has accepted the position of general manager of Marks and Saulwick (Aust.), Ltd., and will leave the Dominion early in August. Mr. Clabburn's successor is Mr. E. L. Ackroyd, who will be general manager for the Dominion.
