NORTH AUCKLAND FAILURE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. Attributing his failure' to the existing depressed conditions of trade. Joseph Henry Southwjck, , a chemist, was examined in connection with his bankruptcy to-day. Bankrupt's total debts were shown as £453 4/7, and his assets as £250 14/2, leaving a deficiency of £205 10/5. The Assignee said bankrupt had kept his book we]l, and there had been no wastage. He was satisfied it was purely a case of misfortune. . It was decided to leave the matter in the hands of the Assignee, with a representative of the principal creditor as supervisor. It was also decided to facilitate bankrupt's discharge.
