He was tempted to steal the cycle in question owing to_ the fact that ho had no inonoy, while his wife was in hospital and his child was eick. As'he lived-a long distance from the hospital he had no means of visiting his wife except by walking. " Remarking that punishment for theft was usually imprisonment, his Worship said he would' treat accused leniently and' order 12 months' probation.
