DEMAND FOR FARMS.
SAUSS IN ELTHAM DISTRICT. SUBSTANTIAL DEPOSITS PAID. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ELTHAM, this day. A hopeful indication of an expectation of better timee is seen in the improved demand which exists in the Eltham district for farm properties;. Quite fair prices are being obtained, and, what is more, the buyers apparently are provided with a fair amount of cash. During the past two or three weeks the following farms have been sold:— 140 acres at Mangatoki, £42 10/ per acre; 151 acres at Urenui, £38; 51 acres at Eltham, £46; 47 acres at Eltham, £45. Substantial cash deposits were paid by the purchasers in each case.
