THE MISTLETOE TREATMENT OF CANCER.
The following opinion of two Continental doctors as to the value of the above, sent out by Dr. Werner Kaelin, of the Anthroposophical Society's laboratory at Arlesheirn, will I think, be of service as indicating the extent to which the treatment may be depended upon in'the treatment of cancer: "That it does exercise—in varying degrees—an inhibitory action over the growth and development of cancer sufficient to justify its use in all cases of malignancy. That it does possess properties antagonistic to cancer growth. That its use is followed by beneficent results in all stages of the disease; its curative properties were marked in the early stages. That its use is indicated in all advanced and so-called hopeless cases, as it possesses a wonderful power to eliminate the pain and general distress that makes death a welcome visitor. That it is a valuable prophylactic and its use indicated following surgery, X-ray and radium. I strongly advise the careful study of this method of cancer treatment by the profession." "It is certain that in treating cancer and sarcoma by using the various viscum remedies there followed in a short time a remarkable improvement in the general health. Not only is the physical condition benefited, but afso the mental and spiritual." These opinions were given five years ago. Of course much has been learnt of its value since then. I may add that the treatment is supplied only to registered medical practitioners. EDGAR WARD.
